Lee Marvin

Lee Marvin (19 Şubat 1924 - 29 Ağustos 1987) Oscar ödüllü ABDli film oyuncusu. Marvin genellikle savaş filmlerinde ve kötü adam rolleriyle tanınmış önemli bir oyuncudur. Akademi Ödülleri'nde en iyi erkek oyuncu ödülünü almıştır.

Hayatı

Sinemayla tanışmadan önce Amerikan 4. Deniz Bölüğünde II. Dünya Savaşı'na katılmıştır. Kendi bölüğündeki çoğu askerin ölmesi onu çok derinden etkilemiştir. Bu nedenle Psikoloji sorunları yaşadığından Askerlikten terhis edilmiş ve Amerikan Savaş Madalyası sahibi olmuştur. 29 Ağustos 1987 tarihinde kalp krizi geçirerek 63 yaşında hayatına veda etmiştir. Amerika'nın en önemli savaş filmleri oyuncularından biridir. Mezarı Arlington Ulusal Mezarlığı'ndadır.
