Justitia

Justitia, (İngilizce:Lady Justice) Roma mitolojisinde adalet tanrıçasıdır. Yunan mitolojisinde Themis ve Eski Mısır mitolojisinde Ma'at'a denk gelmektedir. Daha çok ahlaki değerlerle güçlendirilmiş bir adalet anlayışını betimlemektedir[1][2].

Rönesans'dan beri Justitia, bir elinde kılıç diğer elinde terazi bulunan bir kadın olarak tasvir edilmektedir. Kadının gözleri bir göz bağı ile bağlanmış vaziyettedir.
