Thysanoessa spinifera, Euphausiidae familyasından, Pasifik'te Kaliforniya'da Farollon Körfezi'nde[1] yaşayan kril türüdür.

Neritik bir türdür. Yumurta yoğunluğu en düşük kış sonu (Şubat - Mart) ve ilkbaharda (Nisan - Mayıs) , en yüksek ise yazın (Temmuz - Eylül) görülür.[2]

Balinaların ve bazı balıkların (Clupea pallasi, Merluccius productus) ana besin maddesidir[3] .
