The Man Who Sold the World

The Man Who Sold the World, David Bowie'nin 1970 yılında Mercury Records aracılığıyla çıkan 3. stüdyo albümü. Albümün yapımında çalışan birçok müzisyen, daha sonra "Spiders from Mars" ismiyle Bowie'ye eşlik etmiştir. The Man Who Sold the World, Bowie'nin önceki albümündeki folk rock tarzından uzaklaşmış ve Led Zeppelin ile Black Sabbath gibi gruplarınkine benzer bir heavy metal ve hard rock tarzı edinmiştir.[1] Ayrıca eleştirmenler albümün glam rock döneminin başlangıcı olduğunu iddia etmiştir.[2][3][4] Allmusic yazarı Stephen Thomas Erlewine ise albümün "Bowie'nin klasik döneminin başlangıcı olduğunu" belirtmiştir.[5]
