Sinapsid
Sinapsidler[lower-alpha 1], memelileri ve memelilere, sürüngenler ve kuşlar gibi amniyot kladının diğer üyelerinden daha yakın akraba olan her hayvanı içeren bir hayvan grubudur.[4] Kafataslarının her iki yanında, gözün arka kısmında bulunan bir açıklığa sahiptirler. İsimlerini bu açıklıktan alırlar.[5]
