Dobson 18 Mart 1943'te New York'ta doğdu. Amerikan CBS kanalı yapımı Dedeftif Bobby Crocker rolünü canlandırdığı polisiye türünde dizi, Kojak (1973-1978), M. Patrick "Mack" MacKenzie rolünde yer aldığı dizi; Knots Landing (1982-1993) ve pembe dizi Days of Our Lives ile bilinir.
Ölümü
Dobson 6 Eylül 2020'de Coalinga, Kaliforniya'daki aile evinde kalp krizi sonucu 77 yaşında öldü.[1]
