Jansencilik

Jansencilik bir Katolik teolojik harekettir. Fransa'da gündemde olmuştur. Günahın kaynağı, yani günahların insanın dünyaya gelmesiyle oluştuğunu savunan görüşü benimsemiştir.  İlahi lütuf ve Mukadderat ilkelerini savunur. Hareket Hollandalı teolog Cornelius Jansen'in eserinden ileri gelmiştir. İlk defa popülerleşmesi Jansen'in Saint-Cyran-en-Brenne Abbey'den arkadaşı Abbot Jean Duvergier de Hauranne sayesindedir. Duvergier'in 1643'te ölümünden sonra Antoine Arnauld tarafından idare edilmiştir. Jansencilik 17. ve 18. yüzyıllarda Katolik Kilisesi'nde müstesna bir yere sahiptir. Hareketin telolojik merkezi Port-Royal Abbey, Paris'tir. Burası aynı zamanda Duvergier, Arnauld, Pierre Nicole, Blaise Pascal ve Jean Racine gibi yazarlara da ev sahipliği yapmıştır.

Abbé de Saint-Cyran – Jean Duvergier de Hauranne, Saint Cyran Abbey, Brenne (1581–1643) baş rahibi Jansenciliğin fikir babalarındandır.
Blaise Pascal (1623–1662). Provincial Letters, 1656-1657, adlı eserini Jansenci bir perspektifle yazmıştır.
