Morfoloji

Tıknaz yapılı, kısa ve güçlü bacaklı orta boy örümceklerdir. Renkleri koyu kahverengiden siyaha kadar değişkenlik gösterir. Karıncalardan ayırt etmek zor olabilir.

Habitat

Esas olarak çayır ve bataklıklar gibi nemli yerlerde bulunsa da kuru habitatalarda da görülür. Gececildir ve gündüzleri taş altlarında gizlenerek geçirir
