Yaşamı

Thompson 29 Ocak 1962'de Hampstead, Londra'da doğdu.[4] 1977'de çocuk oyuncu olarak kariyerine başladı. Oyuncu çift Eric Thompson ve Phyllida Law'ın kızı yine oyuncu olan Emma Thompson'un kız kardeşidir. 2018'den itibaren yer aldığı İngiliz televizyonlarının uzun soluklu pembe dizisi Coronation Street ile dikkat çekmiştir. 1995'te evlenip 2015'te ayrıldığı eşi Richard Lumsden'den iki çocuk sahibidir.[5]
