Monotipik takson
Monotipik takson, taksonomide tek biyolojik tipten oluşan takson. Birden fazla olursa politipik takson adını alır.
Botanik ve zoolojide tek alt takson içeren taksonlar monotipik taksonlardır:
- monotipik filum, tek sınıftan oluşan filumdur. Örnek: Placozoa
- monotipik sınıf, tek takımdan oluşan sınıftır. Örnek: Pauropoda
- monotipik takım, tek familyadan oluşan takımdır. Örnek: Welwitschiales, Macroscelidea
- monotipik familya, tek cinsten oluşan familyadır. Örnek: Aponogetonaceae, Grossulariaceae, Moringaceae, Nepenthaceae, Nelumbonaceae, Pandionidae, Ochotonidae, Upupidae
- monotipik cins, tek türden oluşan cinstir.
- monotipik tür, tek alt türden oluşan türdür.
- monotipik habitat, tek türün baskın olduğu habitata denir[1]. Örnek olarak, Centaurea solstitialis türünden peygamber çiçeği Kaliforniya'da 61,000 km² alanda egemen türdür ve bulunduğu bu alan monotipik habitattır[2][3].
