Carl Weathers

Sinema kariyerinden önce profesyonel futbol oyuncusuydu. En iyi rol olarak Rocky film serilerindeki Apollo Creed rolüyle tanınmakla birlikte 1987 yapımı Predator filmiyle bunun devamını sağladı.
Erken dönemi
Weathers, New Orleans, Louisiana'da doğdu. Babası günlük işçiydi. Sekizinci sınıf öğrencisi olarak özel bir lise olan St.Augustine Lisesi'ne atletik burs kazandı. Lise sırasında boks, futbol, jimnastik, judo, futbol ve güreşle uğraşan çok yönlü bir atletti. 1966'da mezun oldu.
Futbol kariyeri
Weathers futbolu kolejde defansif olarak oynadı. Üniversite kariyerine 1966'da Long Beach City College'da başladı.
Sezon dışı dönemlerde Weathers San Francisco Eyalet Üniversitesi'ne gitti ve 1974'te drama dalında lisans derecesi aldı. 1974'te futboldan emekli oldu ve oyunculuk kariyerine başladı.[1]
